January 11, 2022- The Specialized Histopathology Services-Longwood and Tissue Microarray & Imaging Cores are recovering from a COVID outbreak among staff from late December. Please be aware that the Core is currently operating with only 60% staffing. You should expect Core services to be very slow, significantly impacting turnaround time. We kindly ask for your patience while the Core gets back on its feet and staff returns. Please check back here for any updates.

NEW PRICING- As of January 1, 2022 for the Rodent Histopathology Core and the Mouse Engineering Core.


RODENT HISTOPATHOLOGY CORE [HMS]:
Dr. Roderick Bronson, DVM is now available for in-person consultations on Tuesday and Thursday mornings (if you have been vaccinated). Please contact him at roderick_bronson@hms.harvard.edu to schedule a time to meet. Dr. Bronson will continue to review slides remotely when requested as well.

Sample drop-off and pick-up is Monday through Friday between 9am-5pm. Any questions, please direct them to Core Manager at Li_zhang@hms.harvard.edu


MOUSE ENGINEERING [FORMERLY TRANSGENIC MOUSE] CORE [HMS]:
Sample drop-off and pick-up are by appointment only Monday thru Friday. Please understand the core continues to follow social distancing guidelines with reduced staffing capacity available in the core; you should expect turnaround time to be affected.Email questions to mouseengineeringcore@gmail.com


SPECIALIZED HISTOPATHOLOGY SERVICES- LONGWOOD AND TISSUE MICROARRAY & IMAGING CORES [BWH, Thorn 604/603B]:
We are offering walk-in hours for Drop-Off and Pick-Up Monday-Thursday between 10am to 3:30pm; and Friday by appointment only (pre-approved by Donna at dmskinner@partners.org; or Teri at tbowman@partners.org) due to continued reduced staffing. The core continues to follow social distancing guideline with only 80% staffing available in the core; you should expect turnaround time to be affected. If you have questions please email tbowman@partners.org.

SPECIALIZED HISTOPATHOLOGY SERVICES- MGH [CHARLESTOWN]:
Drop-Off and Pick-Up no longer require appts. Please understand the core continues to follow social distancing guidelines. Turnaround time has returned to normal. All training and unassisted use on all core shared equipment [embedder, paraffin microtome, cryostat, and microscope] will now be offered with limited capacity (1-2 people max per session). PLEASE VERIFY ALL RUSH WORK REQUESTS WITH US BEFORE PLACING THEM ON OUR WEBSITE. Email questions to DGLUHOVAKASSIS@mgh.harvard.edu.
